Our Services

Here are some of the frequently asked questions we receive from around the Las Vegas Valley when providing heating, plumbing, and AC services for our residential and commercial clients.

What is HVAC?
Do I need regular maintenance for my heating and air conditioning systems?
Outside of quality installation work and products to start with, regular maintenance is essential in keeping a well-functioning system and helping to keep your energy costs low. On top of saving you money, it prevents you from having to buy a new system sooner than is necessary. Maintaining unrestricted air flows from dust, dirt, and debris is critical. Whether it’s an indoor or outdoor unit, keeping clean air filters, heat exchangers, and coils free of restrictions is highly recommended.

Heating and cooling systems should be checked and serviced at least twice per year. Depending on your filter type, we recommend changing your filter with scheduled regularity (see manufacturer recommendations). This simple step can eliminate most of the common problems that require repair and can significantly reduce the likelihood of a mechanical failure.
How long will my equipment last?
Life expectancy for equipment is between 10 and 20 years. If you are in an older home or property, you'll notice when your system needs replacement. It will begin to require frequent repairs and may increase noise levels when functioning. You also might notice a decrease in energy efficiency when viewing your utility bills.

You always have the option of maintenance and repair. Still, HVAC technology is evolving, and many of the new features now available in today's market can save on energy and cost like never before. Depending on when your system was installed originally, a lot of progress could have been made since then, so you will want to weigh your options.
What should I use to clear my clogged drains?
We recommend that you avoid chemical drain cleaners and opt for a sturdy plunger or plumbing auger. If using these time-tested tools doesn't do the trick, contact 24/7 Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing today for drain cleaning services.
My toilet is overflowing. What do I do? Help!
Remove the tank lid and lift the fill or float valve to stop the water from refilling the tank immediately. Then, turn off the water behind the toilet on the wall valve. Leave this valve closed until you can remove the clog with a plunger auger. Usually, this just takes a few moments and is nothing serious. If your toilet(s) are repeatedly overflowing, this indicates a more serious problem like a clogged drainpipe or worse, and a professional plumber is required to determine the issue and fix the problem.
Why isn't my water heater working?
There are several reasons a water heater stops working. Most commonly, we see:
  • Tripped breaker
  • Defective equipment
  • Sediment buildup
  • Faulty thermostat or switch
Our team of professionals at 24/7 heating, Air Conditioning & Plumbing will identify the problem quickly and provide quality solutions to get it working as soon as possible.
